Meet the Author — Shakil R.
With a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Beihang University, China, and a Master's in Flight Dynamics & Control Systems from the University of Texas at Austin, he has served in roles ranging from Engineering Officer in fighter squadrons to Professor and Head of Department, to Commandant of the College of Aeronautical Engineering, and later as Deputy Chief Project Director (Aero) for the JF-17 Project. His work has taken him from the JF-17 aircraft design team in China to leading-edge sustainability and energy projects in Pakistan.
Across four decades, he has combined engineering precision with strategic vision, contributing to aerospace innovation, sustainable energy solutions, and international collaborations. He has published extensively in leading scientific journals, submitted patents in renewable technologies, and founded Smart Green Solutions, a startup dedicated to sustainable energy and education.
Today, he is channeling this unique blend of passion and expertise into fiction. His debut geopolitical thriller, SHADOW: The SENTRY Directive, has been described as "a strategic wake-up call disguised as a thriller," praised for its authenticity, heart, and thought-provoking vision of peace in a fractured world.
